Privacy Policy

Updated Date: Oct 31, 2025, 12:00 AM

We are Trs for Information Technology and its affiliates (“Trs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We prepared this Privacy Policy to explain what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, and what choices you have under the Personal Data Protection Law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PDPL) and other applicable laws.

Through our software (the “App”), we allow individuals (“Users” or “you”) to control their tools and capture sessions in a simple, fast, and delightful way. The App, the browser/Chrome extension, and https://try-trs.com (the “Site”) are referred to collectively in this Privacy Policy as the “Service”.

If you are a business customer, please refer to the Data Processing Agreement in our Terms of Service.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not access the Site or otherwise use the Service.

1. Personal data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data (alone or in combination they can identify you) in line with the Saudi PDPL definition of personal data.

Account Data.

If you create an account, we collect what we need to authenticate you and provide the Service, such as your name (if you provide it) and email address.

Financial / Billing Data. If any features of the Service are paid, we collect the data needed to process your payment through our Saudi or international payment partners (e.g. card number token, billing name, transaction IDs). We do not store full card numbers on our own servers if our payment provider doesn’t allow it.

Screen Recordings / Sessions. Because Trs is a session / issue-capture tool, when you use it we process the screen recordings, audio (if enabled), console/network data, and contextual metadata from your device at the time of recording. Depending on what’s on your screen, this may contain personal data of you or of other people. You are responsible for ensuring you are allowed to capture such data.

Communication Data.

When you contact us (support, social, email) or answer surveys, we collect the information you choose to send.

Social Media Data. We maintain pages on platforms such as X/Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram. When you interact with those pages, we may receive personal data from you and, in aggregate, from the platform.

Technical / Usage Data. We may collect device type, browser type, approximate location (country/city level), log data, and interaction events in the Service so we can secure, improve, and audit the Service.

2. How we use personal data

We use personal data for these purposes (under PDPL bases):

  • Provide and operate the Service (including processing and storing recordings/sessions).

  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.

  • Respond to your messages and support requests.

  • Send you administrative messages (service changes, security, policy updates).

  • Analyze how you use Trs to improve performance and features.

  • Develop new products and services related to session capture, issue reproduction, integrations, and AI features.

  • Secure the Service and prevent misuse or fraud.

  • Comply with Saudi laws, regulations, and orders from competent authorities.

  • Send marketing or product messages about Trs only (you can opt out).

  • Create aggregated / anonymized insights that no longer identify you.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Sharing and disclosure of personal data

We may share personal data with:

  1. Vendors / Service Providers (hosting, cloud, analytics, email, payments, customer support) under contract.

  2. Affiliates / Trs group companies to operate the Service.

  3. In case of a business transaction (merger, investment, restructuring).

  4. Saudi authorities and regulators where the law requires it.

  5. Potential buyers / investors under confidentiality.

4. Cross-border transfers

If we need to store or process your data outside Saudi Arabia, we will follow SDAIA / DGA rules and apply contractual and technical safeguards. If an adequate level of protection is not available, we will ask for your explicit consent or apply SDAIA-approved clauses. We will not transfer data abroad if this would harm national security or vital interests of the Kingdom.

5. Data retention

We will not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Usually, we keep it until you delete your account or it is no longer needed. Then we delete or anonymize it. We may keep anonymized data for analytics.

6. Updating your information

If you have an account, you can update some data in your profile.

7. Children

Our Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

8. Links to other websites

Our Service may contain links to third-party sites and services. Their privacy policies apply to them, not this one.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data and we limit access to people who have a business need. We also have procedures for suspected data breaches and, where PDPL requires it, we will notify you and the competent authority.

10. Your choices

Some data is optional. If you don’t provide it, some features may not work. You can also ask us to stop marketing to you.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

If we change this Policy, we will post the new version here and update the date. If you continue using Trs after the update, you agree to the updated Policy.
